1st Impressions Logo

I designed this logo as a part of my graduate project. My client, Bob Ball (Vice President of HDB Group, Inc d/b/a 1 st Impressions), requested both a logo redesign and a website. I used a mixed methods research project including a survey of the company’s clients to inform my creation of the logo and website.

I was faced with an interesting challenge with the logo because 1 st Impressions already had a logo that they really liked – they wanted me to simply make it better. I was provided with a basic shape and had the task of redesigning it. I used Photoshop and Illustrator to manipulate and change the logo. My design focused on replacing the original text with more professional and subdued fonts. In addition I smoothed out the texture and the colors.
