Graduate Project Paper

My graduate project took the place of the more traditional graduate thesis. I worked with a client, Bob Ball, Vice President of 1 st Impressions, to create a website and redesign a logo for his company. Both design projects were heavily informed by a mixed methods research project in which I surveyed the company’s clients about their aesthetic design preferences and compiled a large database of sources from scholarly and professional texts.

My goal for this project was to use my research to help build the beginning of a consistent brand identity for the company that would allow it to grow with its customer base throughout the Tampa Bay, Florida area. The logo was the first facet of the brand identity that was followed through in the website. If given the opportunity, I would also create a brochure, postcard, or other mailer to continue with the visual identity.
